England has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and it just so happened to be on Britt's too. It may have something to do with my love of soccer, and my love of Liverpool. I'd always imagined what it would be like to see cities and buildings that are older than Canada itself. We were not disappointed. We started off our trip in the neighbourhood of Kensington in London. Right away found St. Mary Abbots Church which was originally built around the 1100's!
The underground/overground rail system is amazing and can transport you anywhere you want within the city. Walking out of the underground and seeing the Elizabeth Tower and Big Ben clock is something you can never forget.
From London, we began the trek north to Scotland, stopping off in Liverpool. This is the birthplace of The Beatles and (my favourite) the Liverpool Football Club. We only had a short time to stay in Liverpool, but we made the most of it.
